As we have discussed in class, the internet and social media sites have become a norm of communication and information sharing. I find it interesting how numerous individuals have become instantly viral in result of postings on internet sites such as youtube, facebook, and twitter.
The website posted above, was made for a friend of mine, Megan McNeil. Megan is 20 years old and has been battling cancer for over 4 years now. She has wrote a song called "The Will to Survive" in order to raise awareness for childhood cancer. In the past year Megan has been interviewed by many news channels and has even been sent to Toronto and New York to tell her story at inspirational conferences. I find it very interesting how internet marketing has made it possible to completely change the lives of many individuals.

just wanted to say i think its great she has sush local support but at the same time she isnt sitting back and just receiving it. The fact that while she is going through her own battle that she is helping to raise awareness for other people in her situation is amazing.
