Marketers and business starts up companies are now beginning to capitalize on and benefit from social media interactions of individuals by creating a business ventures around the increasing public use of various social media sites. The popularity of such sites as Facebook and Twitter allows companies to earn large profits based off strong public enthusiasm towards these sites. Social Printshop is a company which is capitalizing on these opportunities in the social media marketing industry.
Social Printshop is a start-up company working to target Social Media enthusiasts. The idea of this company is to capitalize on social interactions by offering customers a physical print out of their social media connections in poster form. These prints out include Facebook fan/friend posters, Twitter prints, Social Media stickers and mini photo books which are meant to be placed on display in customer’s homes and offices. Public Awareness
As we have discussed in class, the internet and social media sites have become a norm of communication and information sharing. I find it interesting how numerous individuals have become instantly viral in result of postings on internet sites such as youtube, facebook, and twitter.
The website posted above, was made for a friend of mine, Megan McNeil. Megan is 20 years old and has been battling cancer for over 4 years now. She has wrote a song called "The Will to Survive" in order to raise awareness for childhood cancer. In the past year Megan has been interviewed by many news channels and has even been sent to Toronto and New York to tell her story at inspirational conferences. I find it very interesting how internet marketing has made it possible to completely change the lives of many individuals.
